Ten minutes had come and gone as Angel paced in front of the huge Oak front door. It was dark and brooding, just like the reason she was here, at his house. She had, had a horrible day, it was one of the worst she’d had in awhile. She didn’t want to go to him when she was this upset, it wasn’t because he wouldn’t let her get everything off her chest or because he would turn her away. It was because she was going to wake up tomorrow morning in her own bed, and not remembering a thing about this soon to be glorious release tonight. Eric never let her remember her time with him. She decided she’d ask him to leave bits of tonight in her memory, hopefully he’ll agree she thought as she lifted her small hand with baby blue nail polish on her freshly bitten nails, and knocked on the door once.
A second later the Oak door opened and she heard the deep sultry voice of the man she so desired to see. “I was wondering if you were going to knock lover” he said. Angel slowly took in his features, she had to do it slowly or she’d faint from not breathing. His long legs in low rise blue jeans, he did her the courtesy of putting on a black muscle shirt before answering the door. Angel didn’t know about her sister wives but when Eric didn’t have a shirt on it was extremely hard to concentrate on the task at hand. His face, that beautiful face that can turn from strong and brooding to loving and gentle in a matter of seconds was full of concern for her and her troubles. The reason she fell for him in the first place, his ever changing eyes were there silvery blue this evening and piercing her heart as she started at him. “I need guidance and peace my love” she replied back as he stepped aside to let her in. He leaned in and kissed her lips ever so softly then reached down and touched her belly. “How is your teacup doing?” he asked. Angel was relived when he told her how happy he was that she was expecting her first child. “A pregnant women is a miracle I will never understand” he told her. “ The teacup is fine, it’s me that feels as though I’m going insane.” They had made there way to the small intimate loveseat placed beside the roaring fireplace.
He held her in his lap and let her run her fingers through his long golden hair. Angel started to weep, she felt so foolish getting so worked up over what her sister had told her the previous evening. She knew it was going to happen she just hadn’t expected her sister to drop the big bomb in her lap. What was she supposed to do with it? “Tell me lover what troubles you this evening?” he whispered to her as he took his pinky finger and caught her tears before they left her face. “My sister, she expects me to just take what she does to me in stride and not get upset about the choice’s she makes and what effect they’ll have on me” she replied. “ Go on dearest” he said still wiping the tears from her face. “ She has asked me to keep some very hard things from our mother and I have no idea what to do, my mother deserves to know what is going on in her children’s lives, but then again it’s not my place to tell my sister’s business. My sister always does this to me and I‘ve had enough.” She replied still playing with his hair she couldn’t look in his eyes when she was upset, she’d forget everything and she wasn’t ready for that. “Is this business life threating in anyway?” he asked, “ no it’s not it’s just upsetting in some ways that’s all.” She told him. “What have you decided to do about this “bomb” your sister has dropped in your lap then?” Eric asked her. “ I’m not going to tell my mother anything, it may be the wrong thing to do but I want no part of what my sister is doing.” She told him. “ I think that is a wise decision my love, you have enough on your own mind to worry about her problems.” he told her, “there is another reason you are here this evening I can sense it, tell me what else troubles you my dear?” “ I want to remember this part of our evening, please Eric, being here with you has given me strength don’t take it away” she pleaded, her eyes leaking again. “I’ll leave this part of your memory my love, it’s good to know that even though you look at others of my kind you still come to me for your strength.” He replied as he bent to kiss her lips again.
They kissed slowly at first, taking the time to learn the contours of each others bodies and lips. Then the kisses deepened and desire and purpose filled Eric’s eyes. He was going to get her mind off her troubles, he was going to remind her why she desired him so much and why she chose him over the others. He scooped her up in his arms and lay her in front of the fire and asked the single question he had for her this evening. “ If given the choice my love would you chose me forever, and not your forever, but my forever?” he leaned to kiss her lips and his hand slid up her leg. “ Yes, I’ll always chose you my love” she replied as she wrapped her arms around him, and pulled his hard, cold body against hers.
He made her forget her troubles for those few precious hours she spent with him last night. Of course he erased her memory of there time together except for the first part of the evening, the part she asked him to leave. She was grateful that he let her express her feelings last night, she thought to her self as she walked into her kitchen to get a cup of coffee, on the counter was a note and a dozen white roses. She picked up the note and read “ I love our time together dearest, smell these in the days to come when your burdens seem to hard.” it was signed “ Eric”. Angel sat on her loveseat and pulled her legs up by her side and relived the parts of the evening Eric left untouched and realized that he left some other moments of the second half of the evening they spent wrapped together in front of his fireplace for her viewing pleasure too.
**In no way shape or form do I own Eric Northman I just like to enjoy him in my own way every now and then.**
