A One Night Affair

Life had never been so good for Lyla, she had a great job, a nice apartment, and the nightmares had finally started to slow down.
She was sitting at her desk and thinking about those nightmares when a tall man walked in and sat in front of her desk. The man had shoulder length golden blonde hair that looked as though it was to delicate to touch. His eyes were a beautiful shade of blue that looked as though if you stared at them long enough you would drown in them. “ How can I help you today Mr.? “ “ Northman, Eric Northman, and I’d like to discuss getting some insurance on my home” he replied. From there Eric and Lyla had a conversation about numbers and the size and layout of his home. The whole time he spoke she felt as though she was being drawn to him. She had this crazy need to touch him and see if he was as soft as he seemed.
“ Well that seems to be everything Mr. Northman, I’ll be out to your home tomorrow evening to take some pictures of the property. What time would be best for you?” She hoped it was right before dinner so that maybe she could invite him out with her to this restaurant that she loved. “ Some time after dark would be very convenient” He replied
“I wont be available until the sun sets.” Lyla figured the statement was a little odd but she didn’t question anything. To each his own was her motto.
After Mr. Northman left it was time to clock out and go home to order Chinese food for supper and watch her recorded TV shows that made her feel as though she wasn’t really alone. Lyla wasn’t a bad looking women, She was in her late twenties with long reddish brown hair and hazel brown eyes. She thought she had a good personality to. She was just picky about the men she dated. The last guy she was with didn’t understand what a commitment was and not only dated her but two other women at the same time. She always found the bad or wrong kind of guys. As she was eating her Kung Pow Chicken and Shrimp Fried Rice she wondered what kind of guy Mr. Northman was. She wondered if he was involved with anyone and if he would ever go for a women like her. She hoped that her asking him to dinner tomorrow night would not be to forward. She mainly just wanted some company. After supper and some inner debate about tomorrow Lyla was ready for bed.
She was grateful the awful nightmares had finally decided to stop. They felt so real when she had them that she’d wake up in tears and covered in sweat. It was always like she was on the outside of a box and the box was some one else’s life and she was watching a disaster unfold. The last nightmare and the worst was of her mother right before she passed away, now Lyla was there when her mother passed, but she had no idea how much pain her mother was in. It physically hurt Lyla to watch it.
It was 9 am and the start of a new day when Lyla walked into her office. On her desk was a dozen lilies with a note that said “ Thank you for your time yesterday and for coming to my home this evening.” Signed Eric Northman. Lyla thought that maybe she did make an impression on him yesterday evening. She got very excited about seeing him this evening. She left the office late and didn’t have time to run home and change like she hoped she would. She was wearing a knee length black and red pinstripe skirt and jacket and underneath the jacket she had on a white cami that she loved, and her hair was up in one of those complicated buns that most women with an office job wore. Her shoes were Black peep toe pumps with a 3 inch stiletto heel. As she was cussing her self for losing track of time she drove to Eric’s home.
He lived in a suburb just outside of Shreveport. In a one story ranch style home. His yard looked perfectly manicured with beautiful flower beds lining the sides of the house. In the flower beds were what looked like the lilies he sent her this morning and some roses and tulips and all different kinds of mums. Lyla parked in front of the garage door and looked at the mirror in her visor to fix her lipstick and to make sure she looked alright before she got out of her car. She walked up to the door and rang the door bell a few seconds later Eric opened the door. He was as beautiful as she remembered him. He wore a black muscle shirt that showed off his huge arms and massive hands that she longed to touch, and a pair of low rise blue jeans that went so low she had to keep telling her self to look at his eyes not his waist line. “ You have lovely flower beds Mr. Northman.” Lyla said. “ I love the lilies you sent to. They are my favorite flower. Thank you” “ Your welcome Lyla and please, call me Eric”. Eric showed her around his home so she could take her pictures for his insurance file, while showing her his home he seemed to be trying to touch her skin to, he’d put his massive but gentle hand on her lower back to lead her around his home. How did he know that she liked to be lead instead of always leading? She wondered. When they made it to the kitchen she smelled something amazing. “ I hope you don’t mind but I figured I might be cutting into your supper time so I ordered some food from the local Italian restaurant.’ He said. “ I was just fixing to ask you if you would like to join me to dinner” she replied. “ But this is better, thank you”
He led her to this round oak dinning table and sat her down and went back to the kitchen counter. “ I have a little bit of everything what would you like?” he asked. “ I’d like some spaghetti and a glass of red wine please” . Eric went to work on the task at hand, he fixed her plate and poured her glass of wine. He brought them back to the table and watched as Lyla ate and they chatted and drank wine for a few hours. Lyla looked at her watch and saw that it was almost midnight. She couldn’t believe how tipsy she had gotten and how long she’d been at Eric’s house. “ We’ll Eric thank you for dinner but I really must get going it’s getting really late and I’m sure you’d like to get some rest. “ she told him in between hiccups. ’The pleasure was all mine thank you for keeping me company tonight Lyla” he told her as he helped her out of her chair. He held her very close to himself for a minute before walking her to the door. “ Would you mind if I used your restroom before I hit the road?” she asked “ It’s a tad bit of a long drive back to my house” “ Sure, you remember where it is? Lyla shook her head as she started heading off in the direction of his bathroom. At least that’s where she thought she was going instead she wound up in his bedroom. She sat down on a chair in the corner for a minute and looked around. She had no idea why but she had the desire to lie In his bed with him and have him touch her body with those hands, those hands that looked like they could smash walls and hold a delicate flower at the same time. She didn’t realize she had dozed off until Eric came in and touched her shoulder, “You feel asleep” he said. “ oh I’m so sorry Eric, please don’t think I’m foolish or anything. She looked up at him from the chair she was in and had the impulse to touch his face. She reached up and cupped his face in her hand, “ you have the most beautiful eyes I have ever seen, it’s like they can tell a story of a life lived so long ago’ she whispered. Eric put his hand over hers and got on his knees in front of her. He leaned in and kissed her so softly on her lips it felt as though a butterfly had landed on her lips. He kissed her again and this time there was more desire in it more fire and passion. She hadn’t even realized that he picked her up in his arms and walked her over to his bed, until he laid her down and kissed her again this time with purpose and desire. A desire only she could fill. “ I haven’t done this in awhile” she told him. ‘ It’s okay lover, I’ll be gentle” he whispered in her ear, right before he turned off the lamp.

**In no way shape or form do I own Eric Northman I just like to enjoy him in my own way every now and then.**
